Did you know your insurance policy might cover nutrition counseling?
Many health insurance plans have benefits for nutrition counseling for medical management of a disease or prevention of disease. While not everyone is eligible for insurance coverage, why not check?!
I am currently in-network with BCBS, UHC, and Aetna. If you have private insurance with a different company, you would be responsible for payment (see cash pay info here), but I could provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance on your own. You might be reimbursed by your insurance plan if you have out-of-network benefits.
You are required to call your insurance company prior to our first visit to confirm your benefits for nutrition counseling. I provide my clients with the exact word-for-word questions you should be asking the customer service representative. Typically I will send this after our discovery call, but if you want to know before we chat, complete the form below!
If insurance covers sessions 100%, that brings my package cost down from $1,100 to $200, which is required to be paid in full prior to the initial session. This one-time fee covers the Blood Sugar BOSS program and any communication outside of sessions. For more information on what’s included in my 1-on-1 package, go here.
*Please note I am currently performing all consults in a virtual setting using video chat.
