Want to have regular, predictable periods with less pain, bloating, and mood swings?

Finally learn how to properly nurture your body with whole foods, so you can regain control of your cycles and stay productive and focused each month, all while feeling confident that your body is well-nourished and in balance.

Do any of these sound like you?

👉 you have no idea when your next period is coming

👉 you experience a lot of uncomfortable premenstrual symptoms, such as bad cramps, bloating, mood swings, cravings, or acne

👉 you require pain meds to manage your menstrual cramps

👉 you have tried birth control to manage all of the above, but it doesn’t work, you hate the side effects, or it’s just not an option you want to explore anymore

👉 you have cut out foods on and off to try to regulate your hormones, but have no idea if what you’re doing is helping

👉 you have done a bunch of bloodwork or functional lab tests and have no idea what to actually do with the results

It doesn’t have to be this way!

Imagine if…

  • you felt confident when your next period will begin

  • you were able to have a period that allows you to maintain productivity and keep living your life as usual

  • you felt confident in which foods to eat throughout your cycle to balance your hormones

  • you stopped throwing money at questionable supplements and instead had a clear and coherent supplement plan to support any imbalances

  • you knew how to meal plan, making eating healthier a breeze

And…

  • you could finally stop cutting out all of foods that you love

  • you were able to have a more relaxed and fun relationship with food

  • you could stop relying on birth control to manage symptoms

  • you had mentorship and guidance from an empathetic, no-nonsense dietitian - so you never have to feel lost and dismissed again

I put my nutrition counseling services into a high-touch six-month program so that I can more effectively help you live your best life.

Let’s get you there together!

- Lauren Furgiuele, MS, RDN, LDN

What my clients are saying…

“This has been exactly what I was hoping for! I feel like Lauren has provided an approach where I am finally learning to work WITH my body instead of against it. I'm able to take into account my specific needs with my autoimmune disease as well as hormonal imbalances. I'm finally seeing results in weight loss but learning to honor and appreciate my body along the way to work toward a healthier version of myself physically and mentally.”

“Lauren is intelligent, creative and adaptable. She is passionate about what she does. She has good communication skills and creates a non-threatening and fun environment. Her ability to make helpful suggestions in a way that I don’t feel stupid is very much appreciated!!!”

“Lauren has truly been the most helpful person I’ve ever worked with regarding nutrition. She listened to all my concerns regarding my digestive issues, bloating, energy crashes, and food fears, and helped me get my diet to a much more balanced place. Since I started working with her a few months ago, my bloating has gone down significantly, I have regular bowel movements, I’m able to stay awake during the day, and overall just feel so much better than I used to. I feel more confident in my food choices and have a better understanding of why I’m making certain choices. I feel like my life is changed for the better and I’m so grateful for Lauren and her passion to help others.”

1-on-1 nutrition counseling

6-month package

below are the six M’s we’ll focus on in the next 6 months to help you achieve better periods and overall health

  • While not always necessary, labs are incredibly valuable in our work together. In our initial assessment, we will review any previous labs you have completed and discuss ones that could be important to explore. This might involve some basic bloodwork to assess metabolism/blood sugar, hormones, nutrient status and inflammation, or more functional lab testing. The functional labs I run most frequently include:

    • DUTCH hormone test to dive deeper into your sex and stress hormones

    • stool test to better understand your gut microbiome and the overall functioning of your gut

    • hair tissue mineral analysis to see how your mineral status might be impacting your overall health

  • You are probably here because you want to start making changes to your food choices, which is great, because nutrition impacts every aspect of our health. When it comes to food recommendations for my clients, my approach is very personalized and collaborative. I want you to be a part of the decision-making process and learn how to lean into your intuition. While I firmly believe there is a time and a place to remove or limit certain foods, my general philosophy is to focus as much as possible on the foods to ADD into your daily food choices versus solely focusing on what foods to take out.

In my work I am focusing heavily on food plans that will help balance blood sugars, manage inflammation, create a healthy gut environment and microbiome, and support hormones.

To ensure that my clients have a good understanding of nutrition while working together, I created the ROOTS program, which contains a variety of videos of me walking you through the foundations of nutrition. This is a resource included in the 1-on-1 package that hundreds of previous clients have found incredibly valuable as they work on making changes to their food choices!

  • We can talk all day about the foods you might want to add in to improve your specific health concerns, but if you don’t have a solid meal planning process in place to help get that food ready to eat in front of you, making food changes will be difficult. Meal planning looks different for every client of mine, and I enjoy taking the time to explore what kind of structure around planning works best for you!

To be very clear, I do not write meal plans for clients. Instead, I help you figure out a system that helps you be more consistent with picking meals/snacks, grocery shopping, cooking/prepping, and getting food on the table!

  • Have you ever finished eating a meal and you don’t even remember how you got there because you ate so quickly? Do you let emotions, boredom, or even routine drive your eating habits rather than your hunger? Were you taught to clean your plate no matter how full you are? These are all signs you could use more mindfulness in your eating habits. Mindful eating is a daily practice that lets your hunger be the driver of when and how much you eat. It helps you become a more intuitive eater and become confident in creating meals that are balanced and allow you to savor and enjoy your food.

  • I never treat supplements as a magic pill. I truly see them as what they are literally called - a supplement to a balanced lifestyle. You can’t out-supplement a poor diet. You can’t out-supplement lack of movement or sleep. You can’t out-supplement excess stress. However, I have seen tremendous value in using supplements in my practice, and I will help you identify the most valuable ones to take, if that is something you are interested in.

  • As a holistic dietitian, it is essential for us to have conversations around movement, sleep, nervous system support, and environmental toxin exposure. All of these factors significantly impact our health and hormones. While you are on your journey to better menstrual cycles, we will create goals in these areas as well!

Hey - I get it.

In my mid-20’s, I stopped getting my period for 2 whole years. I was struggling with major constipation, I could barely get through the day due to extreme fatigue, and my hair was falling out. I was stressed out of my mind from work and was pushing myself way too hard in the gym despite feeling drained on the daily.

During this time, I was diagnosed with PCOS, Hashimoto’s, and SIBO. Identifying these got me moving somewhat in the right direction, but I had practitioners pushing birth control, restrictive diets, and a shit ton of expensive supplements. While removing some foods and taking supplements were helpful to a point, I felt kind of forced into a narrow plan that I didn’t fully understand.

No one told me to pull back on exercise or to eat enough food for all of my working out. No one told me what foods to add to my diet that would be helpful. No one asked what felt right to me, or helped me learn how to listen to my own body. I didn’t have much guidance or accountability, which I really needed at the time, even as a dietitian.

I understand the confusion and frustration that comes with just being told what to do, not fully understanding the plan, and feeling dismissed in the process of feeling better.

While that initial support did get me moving forward, it took years of slowly learning what my body needed on my own to get back to a regular, healthy, and almost pain-free period.

I trust that you can get there too.

That’s why I am so excited to create a space for you in my 6-month program.

Let’s do this together!

your friend and dietitian,
